A technique called “mindfulness” also helps reduce anxiety and is all about keeping our minds in the present moment. Sometimes, we spend so much time thinking about the past or worrying about the future that the present day goes by without our mind spending any time in this day. And we miss out on these precious moments with our loved ones or doing our job, and we can’t get this time back. Think of all the times when your spouse, friend or child was talking to you and you realized that you were never mentally or emotionally present. Your mind was so filled with the chatter of the past or future that you missed out on the opportunities and blessings of this day.
