Anxiety L.A. Terms of Use

Anxiety L.A. is operated by Ballpoint Labs, LLC, a California limited liability company. These Terms govern use of anxietyla.com and every page served from it.

Therapists who advertise here are also subject to the Listing Agreement. Where these Terms and the Listing Agreement conflict, the Listing Agreement controls for matters relating to a therapist's listing.

If you're in crisis

These terms are not the place to find help, so we'll say it here as well as everywhere else it belongs.

This site is a directory. It cannot respond to anyone, and nobody here is monitoring it for people who need help now.

1. What this site is

Anxiety L.A. lists therapists in Los Angeles who advertise here, and publishes articles and other information about anxiety.

It is not a healthcare provider, a referral service, or a source of medical advice. Using Anxiety L.A. does not create a clinical relationship with Ballpoint Labs, or, by itself, with any therapist listed here.

2. We don't endorse anyone

Therapists appear here because they meet our listing criteria. Therapists may pay a fixed listing fee; some listings are complimentary. Neither payment nor inclusion is an endorsement.

Will Baum, LCSW, a principal of Ballpoint Labs, holds a listing in this directory. It is a complimentary listing and receives no preferential placement. More about how the directory is run is on our About page.

We do not evaluate anyone's clinical work. We don't assess competence, quality, fit, or outcomes, and a listing is not a recommendation.

We check the license number a therapist gives us against publicly available licensing-board records before the listing goes up, and we may check again afterward. We don't display a verification badge or claim continuous monitoring, and checking a number is not an evaluation of anyone's clinical work.

Everything else on a therapist's profile — their description, approaches, credentials beyond the license number, fees, and availability — is provided by that therapist. We don't independently verify it.

Choosing a therapist is your decision. We'd encourage you to ask questions, check licensure yourself through the relevant California licensing board, and consider whether the therapist feels like a good fit for you.

3. Listing order

Therapists on browse pages appear in randomized order, reshuffled for each visitor.

If you search by ZIP code, results are grouped by distance from the ZIP you entered and randomized within each distance band — so where an office is affects where it appears.

Nobody buys position in either. If we ever offer featured placement it will be labeled as advertising.

4. Links to other sites

Profiles link to therapists' own websites. We don't control those and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, or accuracy.

5. Using the site

Please don't:

• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy listings or content
• Use therapists' contact information for marketing or solicitation
• Attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the site
• Reproduce our articles without permission
• Misrepresent yourself as affiliated with us

6. Content

Articles and other site content published by Anxiety L.A. belong to Ballpoint Labs, LLC, wherever on the site they appear.

Therapist profile content belongs to the therapist, published here with their permission.

7. Availability

We provide the site as-is. We don't guarantee it will be available, accurate, or complete at any given moment. Listings change; a therapist's availability, fees, or practice details may be out of date.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ballpoint Labs, LLC is not liable for:

• Any care you receive from a therapist listed here
• Decisions you make based on anything on this site
• Errors or omissions in listings or articles
• Consequences of the site being unavailable

Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under California law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is posted here with its effective date.

10. Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms must be brought in a state or federal court located in Los Angeles County, California.
