About
I am Dr. Bettye J. Ford, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 25 years of experience in mental health and social services. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is possible when people are provided with a safe, supportive space to understand their experiences, recognize their strengths, and develop tools for meaningful change. My professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.
Beyond clinical practice, I am an educator, author, entrepreneur, and advocate for accessible mental health care. My work is centered on helping individuals heal, strengthen relationships, build resilience, and move toward brighter tomorrows.

Approach
I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique experiences. My work is trauma-informed and collaborative, creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore challenges without judgment. I recognize that healing looks different for everyone, so our work together is tailored to your individual needs, strengths, goals, and life experiences. Together, we identify patterns, develop practical tools, strengthen coping skills, and address experiences that may be affecting your emotional well-being and relationships. My goal is not only to help you manage difficult symptoms, but also to support greater self-awareness, resilience, healing, and meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room.
